Ialna is a boutique hotel inside the castle walls of Ioannina, a restored nineteenth-century stone manor in the old town of Epirus. The renovation kept the building's three materials, stone, iron and wood: rough masonry walls, small black-framed windows set with pressed green glass, a pitched timber ceiling braced with steel trusses, and a stone fireplace, with a curved courtyard bar wrapped around a single mature tree. The scale stays intimate and residential. GRAFFITY stools draw up to the courtyard bar, HYDRA dining armchairs sit at the café tables in the glazed courtyard, and a pair of LUCIA lounge chairs rest by the green-glass windows.
