On a quiet estate above Planos in Zakynthos, Artisan Villa is a private four-bedroom retreat that wears its name openly: hand-troweled earthen walls, a sculptural freeform arch and a deep timber pergola lend the whole house a handmade, Anatolian-tinged calm. Everything turns inward to a long pool edged with olive trees and a single terracotta urn, where the soft, monolithic surfaces do the talking. Under the pergola, a CAVALETTO table ringed by woven-back VALLARTA armchairs sets the scene for slow poolside dinners, while a PITTSFIELD coffee table anchors a lounge in the shade of the arch. It is a holiday house that feels moulded from the island itself: intimate, tactile and completely unhurried.
