Akti Ntovil sits on the Thermaic seafront at Kalamaria in Thessaloniki, a modern fish restaurant built on a stretch of shore where the city has come to swim for generations. A canopy and parasols shade a deck that opens straight onto the water, planters of palm line the edge, rattan pendants hang over timber tables and sisal matting runs underfoot. Indoors, a slatted bar fronts an open kitchen. COHEN armchairs take the terrace tables by the sea view, and MOLINA stools draw up to the bar counter inside.
